COACH Eilish

I’ve been involved in the Health and Fitness Sector since the age of 18.

Whist studying for a HND in Sport’s Science and a degree in Health Studies, I qualified as a Personal Trainer leading a range of group fitness classes including step, aerobics, Aqua aerobics and spinning.

I then went on to do a PGCE in Primary School Teaching and worked as a teacher for nearly 15 years. I coordinated PE and Healthy Schools as this still remained my passion.

I now support my husband, Lee in the running of the business.  My specialist areas include pre and post natal fitness as well as children’s fitness.

For as long as I can remember I’ve always knew I was going to do something in the fitness world, I’ve always loved helping other people, challenging myself and pushing past limits. That is why this is perfect for me.

I’ve played for Newcastle academy for 8-9 years before deciding to leave, I was also in the winning Cymru cup u15 Wales squad and I now play for South Shields FC. I’ve boxed and fought for my Uncles boxing gym (Bilton Hall) and learnt many lessons from that.

I’m always wanting to learn and take in knowledge to improve myself as a coach and person.

I love being in the gym and the environment that it brings. I’d say I’ve been disciplined from the age of 4 when I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and this isn’t a sympathy cry out because I would never use it as an excuse and it has actually helped me understand a healthy lifestyle, love for exercise and realise what the right mindset can do for you.
