Black Sheep Fitness Academy is no ordinary boot camp or exercise class. This unique academy is an indoors and outdoors fitness programme which bases exercises around the fundamental movements of our bodies (natural ways in which our bodies are designed to move and exercise). Our training is based on ‘HIIT’ (High Intensity Interval Training), which is scientifically known to be the best and most effective way to increase your metabolism and send your body in to fat burning overdrive.
Instead of trying to isolate muscles and train them individually, we need to focus on training your whole body as a unit as well as working out in a way that replicates the way humans were designed to move in real life. Your body is designed to use multiple muscle groups at once, not to isolate individual muscles and work them on their own.
Our programmes use a variety of fitness equipment including ropes, kettle bells, resistant bands, club bells, medicine balls and tyres. Alongside this we use bodyweight exercises incorporating the features of the natural surroundings. Our training is based on functional movements with the aim of reducing unwanted fat, increasing muscle tone and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
