I even hear of people jogging around their streets for hours, driving to gyms, walking on the treadmill and then driving back home – not only is this really time consuming but one of the slowest and pain staking ways to achieve any kind of results.

In fact, here is my upfront head again, it is a total waste of your precious time. Time that could be spent relaxing and enjoying time with your family and friends.

I have been in the fitness industy for a hell of a long time and I see this number 1 common mistake!


Cardio Training!!!!!

Hours of boring running, repetitive stepping and generally moving like a hamster in a wheel.

To start achieving massive results and quick you need to incorporate resistance exercises like bodyweight.

Resistance training burns fat, in fact it burns more than going out on endless long distance “jogs” or hours on that fancy gym machine which has the built in TV where you can still watch your hit of Deal or No Deal. People driving to the gym to walk endlessly on a treadmill? (Really I see this happen all of the time!)

The more muscle your body has then the higher your metabolic rate will be! So this basically means you will burn more calories naturally throughout the day! In fact, research has shown that for each kilo of muscle you build, you will burn 70-100 more calories per day.  So if you were to build 2 kilo of muscle then that works out at least an extra 140 calories per day or 1,960 per month. So it’s a no brainer right?

But I don't want to get bulky and look manly? I bet you have just thought this if you are a female right?

This is a question I also get asked all of the time.

Let me clear this up. Females CANNOT build muscle size like males. It is impossible. Due to the fact that women do not, and cannot, naturally produce as much testosterone as males do. Testosterone is one of the main hormones responsible for increasing muscle size. Bodyweight resistance training will have you lose weight and tone up them muscles super fast and not produce muscle on the scale of a bodybuilder!

You need to also add in High Intensity Interval Training or Metabolic types of training within your resistance workouts to not only again build muscle but to burn fat and weight at incredible rates during and hours after the workout has been done!

This is called EPOC (Exercise Post Oxygen Consumption) also known as the after burn! EPOC represents the oxygen consumption the body uses to return to its pre-exercise state. What this basically represents is how many additional calories your body will burn after the exercise session has been completed in order to return your body to the state it was in before the exercise took place. 

So that means you can do you workouts in a fraction of the time than the traditional cardio and produce BIGGER and FASTER results in a fraction of the time!
